She worked for \u003cem\u003eBritish Vogue\u003c\/em\u003e and \u003cem\u003eVIBE\u003c\/em\u003e, where she was a contributing photographer and columnist.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eWhile shooting stills on a music video, the director asked Lisa to shoot B-roll. This marked the beginning of her career as a cinematographer, shooting music videos for artists including TLC, D’Angelo, and The Brand New Heavies.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eA few years later, Lisa began work on Stanley Kubrick’s last film, \u003cem\u003eEyes Wide Shut\u003c\/em\u003e, starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. Impressed with Leone’s talent and drive—and with The Bronx serving as common ground—Kubrick quickly became her mentor. (What’s My Name?)\". It was also my first time to Long Beach. I arrived to find Snoop rapping on the historic rooftop of World Famous VIP Records, one of the most culturally significant landmarks in West Coast hip-hop. The shoot quickly became an unforgettable introduction to LA gang life when a shootout at our next park location forced production to stop for two weeks. When filming resumed, I met Snoop, who turned out to be incredibly shy and soft-spoken.
