Leica Lounge with Lou Lozada | Thurs, Aug 9, 2018 | 7pm - 8:30pm
Join us in the Leica Lounge on Thursday, August 9, 2018 with surf photographer
Lou Lozada. Lou will talk about surf culture - from boards, to waves and even to the loss of a member of the community - via images and a spoken narrative.
The Leica Lounge is a lecture series hosted by Leica Store Miami which features presentations by local photographers, editors, gallerists and educators. Held monthly, these free events are designed to create and inspire the local photography community through sharing images and exchanging ideas.
The Leica Lounge is kindly sponsored by Brooklyn Brewery. Participants will be able to sample some of their amazing craft beers during the event. Brooklyn Brewery is one of the largest craft breweries in the United States, producing a portfolio of traditional and experimental beers sure to impress any beer drinker.
Born and raised in Miami, Lou Lozada is an award-winning creative professional with Clios, One Show, ANDY, Cannes Lions and most of the major international advertising awards to his name. In addition to his ad agency experience (working on clients such as Volkswagen, McDonalds, Chevrolet, etc.), he has done extensive work for several South Florida design and architecture firms, on both the photographic and marketing/advertising/design side. Outside of the industry, Lou is a prominent documentarian of the South Florida surf culture, a father of two, owner and partner in a real estate firm in Coral Gables and the photographer for the Miami Hurricanes ice hockey team.
