• This lens came in two versions, 1963-1975 version one and 1975-1998 version two. 

  Version one: This lens is optically identical with the earlier form of the similar lens made for the Leicaflex. It is a telephoto design with five elements, two of them cemented. The lens carries a rangefinder and viewfinder attachment that magnifies the image size and increases the measuring accuracy by 1.4x. Mounting the lens on the camera brings the 90 mm frame into view and at the correct size for the 135mm field of view. The lens has a built-in extendible lens hood. E55 filters could be used from No. 2,788,927. The lens head is detachable.

  Version two: Optical design changed to that of the contemporary R-lens. This was still a five-element design, two cemented, but of quite different form. The mount was unchanged.

The goggles windows are clear. Overall, this lens is in excellent condition.
