• One of the original lenses introduced with the first Leicaflex, the 35mm Elmarit-R lens was a retro focus design with seven elements in five groups.  The second version of the lens was redesigned in 1974 and then had seven elements in six groups.  The mount was also revised and became of the non-rotating sort.  Then in 1976 the lens was triple cammed and could be fitted with electronics for the Leica R8 camera. This particular lens is the Version I with the 3-Cam design.

  This lens would be a great addition to your Leicaflex or R-System. The lens is clean with signs of normal use. The focusing ring moves very smoothly with nice drag. The aperture ring moves freely with positive detents. The glass is clean, but imperfections are present in the lens coating. This lens has been serviced recently by DAG Camera. The work performed was to clean, lubricate, and adjust all parts for proper working order.
