The design of the Leica M10-D is classically minimalist, featuring only subtle Leica lettering on its top plate, omitting the Leica red dot logo or any branding on the front, lack of LCD screen, the incorporation of a large exposure, and a fold-out thumb rest.

  "Messsucher", the "M" in the Leica M System, is a term describing the combination of rangefinder and viewfinder.
