• The Tri-Elmar 28/35/50 was produced between 1998 and 2007 and was Leica's first ever multiple focal length lens for a rangefinder camera.  In 2000 the lens had a redesign (version 2) in the lens mount and filter thread.  The focal length is selected by an addition adjustment ring with detents at the three settings.  The lens offers two aspherical surfaces and high index glass in two groups.  The lens is compact and relatively light in weight and is intended for the traveler.

  This particular lens is clean and shows no signs of excessive use or abuse. The focusing ring moves very smoothly with nice drag. The aperture ring moves freely with positive detents marking the f/stops.  The focal length adjustment ring can also be moved smoothly with positive felling indents.  The glass is clear and free of scratches, haze, and fungus. A recent CLA has been completed. The work performed was to repair aperture, clean, lubricate, and adjust all parts for proper working order.
