By the end of the workshop, you will have new perspectives and experiences to build confidence and develop your portfolio.

The workshop will take place in an eclectic Miami studio owned and managed by local underwater cinematographer Alexandra Vivas. The location will provide both indoor and outdoor spaces for classroom, critique and discussion, as well as a back drop for our collaborative portrait session.

(Bonus: A backyard pool to incorporate water into your imagery.*)

“Water and the idea of it, whether it be powerful or gentle, is a theme we have the option to use in our photography for this portraiture workshop in particular.

We  will not go deep sea diving but we can work with water as an emotional aspect of the work we plan to produce for this women’s workshop. We will provide some props like fabric that can float in the water but we invite you to bring your own objects, wardrobes, and props with you that you may want to incorporate.” - Maggie Steber
