This lens is the fourth version and was made in 1981.  At the time of manufacturing, a new type of glass enabled a number of elements to be reduced to six, with one cemented pair. Really a new lens that would have been given a new name in the old days. Anodized black, light weight aluminum mount.  Both feet and meters focusing scales.

The glass is clear and clean. This lens has had a recent CLA from Leica.  The work completed was to polish optics, repair focus, and clean, lubricate, and adjust all parts for proper working order.
