• The Leica Elmarit-R 180mm was manufactured from 1968 to 1997 and came in two versions. V1 was manufactured 1968-1997 and V2 was manufactured 1980-1997. The optical design features 5 elements in 4 groups. The lens has a built-in telescopic lens hood.  The lens can be fitted with electronics for use with the Leica R8.  This particular lens is V2 and was manufactured in 1978.

  This particular lens is clean and shows no signs of excessive use. The focusing ring has smooth drag. The aperture ring moves freely with positive detents designating the f/stops. The glass is clean but the front element has some imperfections in the lens coating. Service has been completed recently by DAG Camera. The work performed was to clean, lubricate, and adjust all parts for proper working order.
