• The Leica Elmarit-R 180mm was manufactured from 1968 to 1997 and came in two versions. V1 was manufactured 1968-1997 and V2 was manufactured 1980-1997. The optical design features 5 elements in 4 groups. The lens has a built-in telescopic lens hood.  The lens can be fitted with electronics for use with the Leica R8.  This particular lens is V2.

  This particular lens shows no signs of excessive use or abuse. The focusing ring has smooth drag. The aperture ring moves freely with positive detents designating the f/stops. The glass is clean but has some imperfections in the front element.

  Service has been performed recently by DAG Camera. The work completed was clean, lubricate, and adjust all parts for proper working order. Overall, this lens is in excellent condition.
