  The Leica Summilux-M 35 mm f/1.4 ASPH. (11874) is a further revised version of this popular wide-angle lens for the Leica M rangefinder system. Thanks to the latest developments in the fields of optics and precision engineering, the new 35mm lens sets a whole new standard in the fast wide-angle lens portfolio. Whether it's a matter of selective focus in the close-up range, high-contrast available light applications or landscape shots with immense depth of field, the lens delivers persuasive arguments in any situation.

  In comparison with its predecessor, the new Leica Summilux-M 35 mm f/1.4 ASPH. is the first Leica lens to employ a large glass element with an aspherical surface produced by ultra-high precision press forming rather than by grinding and polishing. Contains nine elements in five groups, like its predecessor, but with only one aspherical surface.

The aperture ring moves freely with positive feeling detents. The glass is clear and free of scratches, haze, fungus, and dust.

  Service has been completed recently by Leica. The work performed was to add the 6-bit coded ring, tuned aperture, and clean, lubricate, and adjust all parts for proper working order. Overall, this lens is in excellent condition.
