• A new standard zoom lens for the Leica R camera with a macro setting (back in 1997). The optical system comprises 8 elements, 4 of them in highly refractive glass and one aspherical surface.  Two groups of elements move with respect to each other for setting focal length, whereas only the front group moves for focusing.  There are separate rings for setting focal length and focus.  Production started back in 1997 and went through 2009.

  This lens would be a great travel companion to add to your R-System. The lens is clean but shows signs of normal use. The focusing ring and zoom ring moves very smoothly with nice drag. The aperture ring moves freely with positive detents. The glass is clear and free of scratches, haze, fungus and dust. Service has been completed recently by DAG Camera. The work performed was to clean, lubricate, and adjust all parts for proper working order.
