This Leica M6 is fascinating in its own right, being an early-production example made in Leica’s original Wetzlar factory before manufacturing moved to Solms in 1988. But what makes this particular M6 even more compelling is its provenance.

We acquired the camera from its original owner, who purchased it new in Vienna, Austria in 1989. While the original box and packaging have been lost to time, the camera still includes its original purchase invoice, warranty card, Passport booklet, instruction manual, strap, body cap, and flash sync port cover.

To ensure this M6’s second owner can enjoy it for years to come, we had it fully overhauled by Leica Customer Care. The viewfinder was also upgraded to the more desirable MP-style finder, allowing this M6 to perform even better than new. The Customer Care documentation is included, along with a one-year Leica warranty.

Cosmetically, the camera is in excellent condition, with only faint signs of normal, careful use.
