The “Betriebsk” engraving is a legendary designation in the world of Leica collectibles, used since the days of the Leica IIIg to identify official factory and dealer demonstration cameras. In late 2019, Leica Camera revived this tradition with a limited run of just 180 Leica CL cameras, each engraved “Betriebsk” on the top plate. This example is one of those 180 units and is mechanically identical to a standard black Leica CL, distinguished only by the white Betriebsk engraving.
