The first Leica M-camera, built between 1954 and 1966. In its final form regarded by many users as the finest rangefinder camera ever made. Built for durability using aluminum for the body and brass for the top and bottom plates, this camera can take any type of shooting condition. Over a quarter of a million were built in thirteen years. Production ceased for the M3 in 1966, but a few more were made for the German army.

This Leica M3 35mm film style camera would be an excellent addition to a collection or even everyday shooting. This camera is very clean for its age and shows minimal use on the body. The viewfinder is clean and bright. The film compartment is dust free and the shutter curtain is in excellent condition. The cladding show signs of wear.
Service has been completed recently by DAG Camera. The work performed was to clean, lubricate, and adjust all parts for proper working order. The Meter MR also was serviced with the installation of a new battery and to clean, lubricate, and adjust for proper working order. Overall, the camera is in excellent condition.
