    Leica D-Lux 8 Offically Launched

The new Leica D-Lux 8 is the ultimate compact camera, combining a large, 4/3” 17-megapixel sensor with a flexible 24-75mm equivalent zoom lens and new, redesigned user interface and button layout. Full manual control is available at your fingertips, and the high-resolution touchscreen and new 2.4- megapixel OLED viewfinder make precise composition easier than ever before.

There are a number of “firsts” featured in the D-Lux 8. It’s the first Leica D-Lux camera to photograph in the DNG raw format, and the first with an OLED viewfinder. Full control of the D-Lux 8 is possible via the Leica FOTOS app, as well as firmware updates (another D-Lux first). The included CF-D flash attaches to the hot shoe when additional lighting is required to get the perfect shot.

The sophisticated design of the Leica D-Lux 8 is complimented by matching accessories. These include leather half cases in black, cognac and olive, as well as matching carrying and wrist straps and an equipment bag and hip bag in black.

Technical accessories such as the auto lens cap and the new handgrip provide even more comfort when taking pictures, and screw-on soft release buttons give the compact camera a unique touch.
