Join us on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 7 PM EST for a Leica Lounge with photographer Evan Lewis at our showroom in Coral Gables.
While Evan Lewis is known for his commercial automotive and aviation work, "Methods Behind the Moment" dives into his passion for adventure. From the extreme isolation of the Arctic Circle to the high-altitude conditions atop Mt. Blue Sky in Colorado, Evan explores why the Leica SL platform has proven time and time again to be his ideal companion throughout his photography career.
From pairing vintage M-series lenses with modern camera bodies to incorporating powerful accessories like wireless studio strobes, Evan explains how the SL system gives him the freedom to adapt to nearly any environment—offering what he believes to be the widest range of versatility in the Leica lineup.WHEN: Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 7:00 PM

Evan Lewis is a professional photographer currently residing in Sarasota, Florida. Educated at the Ringling College of Art & Design, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in photography in 2020.
Evan’s work is deeply influenced by his fascination with the machine world. His photographs often explore the interplay between transportation, mechanical design, and natural beauty. Some of Evan’s most notable photographic techniques include the use of long exposures, artificial lighting, and multi-layer post-processing methods that harmonize the subject with its environment.
Among the many places Evan travels to for his images, Alaska holds the most significance. Recently, he completed a body of work titled Ascending Alaska, which compiles four years and seven visits to the magnificent state into one comprehensive series.
