  • The Leica Q3 Monochrom is the purest expression of the Q philosophy, a camera built entirely around luminance. Its dedicated 60 MP BSI monochrome sensor, free of color and low-pass filters, records only light itself, delivering a level of clarity, depth, and tonal richness unattainable with color-based systems. With Triple Resolution Technology, it captures black-and-white photographs at 60, 36, or 18 MP and records monochrome video up to 8K with support for LOG and HLG.

Paired with the blazing-fast Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH and an integrated macro mode, the Q3 Monochrom renders scenes with exceptional sharpness, nuanced textures, and remarkably low noise, even in challenging light. Its ISO range of 100–200,000 further expands the creative envelope, delivering clean, flexible files that respond beautifully to post-processing.

The camera introduces the redesigned user interface first seen in the SL3, offering improved iconography, faster navigation, and a customizable control center. With seamless connectivity to the Leica FOTOS app via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB-C, and HDMI, it integrates effortlessly into modern mobile workflows.

A distinctive monochrome design sets the Q3 Monochrom apart: the red dot is omitted in favor of an understated black-and-gray aesthetic, punctuated by a “Monochrom” engraving on the top plate. Built in Germany with Leica’s uncompromising craftsmanship, it represents the highest form of monochrome image-making for both photographers and videographers.
