The Photography Book Salon - World Photography Day

Join Leica Store Miami as we celebrate World Photography Day with a special Photography Book Salon—an evening dedicated to the books, images, and stories that have shaped our understanding of photography.

WHAT: A photography book "show-and-tell" and guided discussion (and 20% off all photo books during the event!)

WHEN: Wednesday, August 19th, 6-8 PM

WHERE: Leica Store Miami, 372 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables, Florida, 33134, United States (Paid street parking available, or, garage parking ($1.25/hr) available behind the store located on Andalusia Ave across from Publix.)

This community gathering invites photographers, collectors, artists, and photography enthusiasts to bring a photography book that has inspired them. Together, we'll explore how photography preserves memory, history, emotion, culture, and perspective in ways that no other medium can.

Guided by Josh Lehrer, the evening will feature an open, salon-style discussion where participants are encouraged to share the photography books that have influenced their creative journey while reflecting on a central question:

What does photography preserve that nothing else can?

Participants are encouraged to share:

• A photography book that has inspired or influenced them.
• Their perspective on what photography preserves and why it matters.

The discussion is designed to celebrate the power of photography and the books that preserve its legacy.

Whether you're an experienced photographer, an avid collector, or simply someone who appreciates the art of visual storytelling, this is an opportunity to connect with fellow members of the Leica community and celebrate the enduring impact of photography through the printed page.
