The Leica D-Lux 8 100 YEARS OF LEICA pays homage to the Leica I, the camera introduced in 1925 that revolutionized photography a century ago. Its shape and subtle design details evoke that historic inspiration, with a black finish, exclusive leatherette covering, and nickel-colored accents on the controls, lens, and lens cap. Unlike the standard D-Lux 8, the special edition omits the red Leica logo in favor of a cleaner, more understated design. Additional details include the “100” engraving on the hot shoe cover, elaborate edging on the shutter release, the absence of a thumb grip and model designation on the top plate, and a unique leatherette texture reminiscent of the Leica M11.

Presented here is what we consider the “perfect kit” for this special camera. This is a one-owner example in essentially unused condition, 100% complete as new with its original box, packaging, paperwork, and accessories. Beyond the camera itself, the previous owner assembled virtually every accessory we would choose if outfitting a D-Lux 8 100 YEARS OF LEICA for ourselves, including several pieces that have become exceptionally difficult to find.
