The first Leica M-camera, built between 1954 and 1966. In its final form regarded by many users as the finest rangefinder camera ever made. Built for durability using aluminum for the body and brass for the top and bottom plates, this camera can take any type of shooting condition. Over a quarter of a million were built in thirteen years. Production ceased for the M3 in 1966, but a few more were made for the German army.

This Leica M3 35mm film style camera would be an excellent addition to a collection or even everyday shooting. The body has some scuffs and scratches, but is in excellent condition for the age. The viewfinder is clear and bright. The cladding is clean and has minimal wear. The film compartment is dust-free.
Service has been completed recently by Leica Germany. The work performed was to clean, lubricate, and adjust all parts for proper working order. Overall, this camera is in excellent condition.
