• The Leica Summicron-M 90 mm f/2 (#11136) started production in 1980 and went through 1998 with less than 30K units made. This 90mm lens is a versatile telephoto lens that rounds off the class of Summicron-M lenses. Despite being much more handy and lighter than the comparable 90 mm Summicron lens, it offers outstanding optical and mechanical quality.

  The 90 mm telephoto lens is a perfect demonstration of how Leica's Summicron-M class is setting new standards in lens design. A Leica M camera with a Leica Summicron-M 90 mm f/2 fitted is an extremely compact and handy unit. Compared to other 90 mm focal length lenses, there is hardly any intrusion into the viewfinder image.

  This particular lens, produced in 1982, is very clean with no signs of excessive use or abuse.  The focusing ring moves very smoothly with nice drag. The aperture ring moves freely with positive detents. The glass is clear and free of scratches, haze, fungus and dust.

  Service has been completed recently by Leica. The work performed was to add the 6-bit coded ring, tune focus, polish rear element, and clean, lubricate, and adjust all parts for proper working order.
