My favorite place to shoot…

As the manager of our photo workshops program, I’ve travelled to so many amazing locations in the last 10 years. But if I had to choose one place that I never tire of and that excites my eye time and again, it has to be Iceland.

A Leica special edition that I fantasize about...

Impractical as it may be, I absolutely love the Leica M9-P Edition Hermes. Created in collaboration with automotive designer Walter de’Silva, this camera is a thing of beauty.

The camera bag I swear by …

The Think Tank Retrospective 7 v2.0 in black. I’ve used this bag, or variations of it, for the past 8 years. In my opinion, it stands apart from other shoulder bags because of its functionality. It’s not flashy (which I love) and the layout is perfect for my needs. This is simply a really comfortable and well-designed bag.

My camera always wears...

I’m a big fan of the Thumbs Up or Leica Thumb Support for M and Q cameras. They’re simple devices, but they really change the feel of the camera in your hand and allow your thumb to bear the brunt of the weight.

If I’m traveling light, I’ll bring…

Easy. A Leica Q3. This camera is a do everything, go everywhere juggernaut. It’s light, it’s fast, it’s great in low light, it’s great in good light. It’s great. Period.

My favorite photo book...

Workers by Sebstiao Salgado. This book is an amazing record of the human condition and the human spirit.
