The Photography Book Salon
An evening of conversation, inspiration, and community exploring the books and images that preserve photography's enduring legacy. The Photography Book Salon celebrated World Photography Day with an evening dedicated to the books, images, and stories that have shaped our understanding of photography.
The gathering was a photography book "show-and-tell" and guided discussion. Photographers, collectors, artists, and photography enthusiasts brought a photography book that had inspired them, and together explored how photography preserves memory, history, emotion, culture, and perspective in ways that no other medium can.
Guided by Josh Lehrer, the evening featured an open, salon-style discussion where participants shared the photography books that have influenced their creative journey while reflecting on a central question: What does photography preserve that nothing else can?
The discussion was designed to celebrate the power of photography and the books that preserve its legacy.
