The Pulse of Nature: Spirituality in the Florida Swamps

The presentation was a conversation between Lisette Morales McCabe and Aldeide Delgado, founder and director of the Women Photographers International Archive (WOPHA). It focused on Lisette’s new book, The Pulse of Nature, containing a variety of photographs from her long term project on Spirituality in the Florida Swamps.

The photography book contains a collection of 29 color images, created over the course of 5 years, covering a vast area of South Florida, from ancestral territory by airboat to the boardwalk of Six-Mile Cypress Slough Preserve. The book is an invitation to visit the outdoors and connect with Mother Nature. 10% of the proceeds from this book’s edition will be donated to Eco-Homies Organization and another 10% to Love the Everglades Movement.
