Sekonic L-308X-U Flashmate Light Meter

The pocket-sized Sekonic L-308X-U FLASHMATE is the smallest and lightest digital light meter in the Sekonic line-up. It has dedicated modes for photography, cinematography and HD cinematography, and it switches between incident and reflected light, making it the most versatile and affordable photo/cine meter in the market.

Small Enough to Go Everywhere

At just 4.33 x 2.48 x 0.87" and 0.21 lb, the FLASHMATE slips into a pocket or a corner of the camera bag, so it's easy to have a meter with you on every shoot. It runs on a single AA battery, which is one less thing to worry about on location.

Photo, Cine and HD Cine Modes

Whether you shoot stills or motion, the FLASHMATE has a mode for it. Dedicated photography, cinematography and HD cinematography modes mean you can move between projects without switching meters. In ambient light you can work in T priority, F priority or EV, with HD_CINE (T priority) and CINE (f/s priority) available for motion work, plus Lux/FC for illuminance measurement.

Ambient and Flash

Take incident readings for both ambient light and flash, and switch to reflected light when the situation calls for it. For flash, the meter supports both Cordless and Cord-in (PC) modes, with an aperture range from F0.5 to F90.9 and shutter speeds from 1s to 1/500s.

Easy to Read, Easy to Customize

The B&W segment LCD backlights automatically under EV5, so you can still read the display when the light gets low. Three custom settings let you save your preferred setups, and calibration compensation of -1.0EV to +1.0EV lets you fine-tune readings to match your workflow.
