Save when combining the Leica M EV1 camera and Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4, silver chrome lens.
The Leica M EV1, Leica's first M camera with an integrated electronic viewfinder, is now available as a complete kit with the Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4, silver chrome. Together, they create a distinctive M-System combination, pairing the M EV1's precise electronic viewing and focusing experience with a classic 50mm lens known for its unique rendering and historic optical character.
The Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 is a modern reimagining of a legendary M-System lens. Based on the optical design of the second-generation Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 produced from 1962 to 2004, it retains the beautifully soft bokeh and distinctive rendering of the original while benefiting from modern glass, coatings, and manufacturing techniques.
Its fast f/1.4 maximum aperture makes the lens especially well suited to low-light photography and selective focus, while the classic 50mm focal length offers a natural perspective for portraits, travel, still life, and everyday photography. The minimum focusing distance of 0.7 meters provides additional flexibility, and the M EV1's integrated electronic viewfinder makes precise manual focusing particularly intuitive when working at wide apertures and shallow depths of field.
The Leica M EV1 combines the traditional values of the M-System with the advantages of an integrated electronic viewfinder. Its diopter compensation and practical focus assists facilitate precise manual focusing, particularly when using fast Leica Summilux and Noctilux lenses. The brilliant 5.76-million-dot EVF shows the image as it will be captured, while the camera's 60 MP full-frame BSI CMOS sensor delivers outstanding image quality.
