The book presents a selection of Craig Semetko’s photographs taken across the United States, offering a personal view of contemporary America. Spanning 96 pages and featuring 67 images, the photographer captures unexpected situations, curious details, and scenes of everyday life.
What began on Independence Day in 2011 evolved into a photographic exploration spanning nearly a decade. The result is a visual narrative shaped by humor, subtle irony, and thoughtful observation.
Craig Semetko’s photographic instinct is unmistakable, something he demonstrates once again in America Unposed. With this volume, he completes a trilogy through a journey across his homeland, bringing together beauty and tension, the ordinary and the unexpected. The work reflects both an affection for the country and a nuanced, critical perspective.
The publication includes a foreword by Karin Rehn-Kaufmann, Art Director and Chief Representative of Leica Galleries International, along with an interview by Tom A. Smith.
