    The Leica M EV1, Leica's first M camera with an integrated electronic viewfinder, is now available as a complete kit with the Leica Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH FLE II, silver anodized. Together, they create an exceptionally versatile M-System combination, pairing the M EV1's precise electronic viewing and focusing experience with one of the most flexible focal lengths in the Leica M lens lineup.

    Whether for detailed landscape shots, high-contrast pictures in difficult lighting conditions, or subjects in close-up range with shallow depth of field, the Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH FLE II produces extraordinary results. Eleven aperture blades provide beautifully smooth bokeh, while the minimum focusing distance of just 0.4 meters opens up additional creative possibilities.

    From 0.7 meters to infinity, focusing works as expected with the M-System. Beyond a slight perceptible resistance in the focusing ring, the extended close-focus range from 0.7 to 0.4 meters can be precisely controlled using the M EV1's electronic viewfinder. The integrated EVF makes this an especially natural pairing, providing an accurate magnified view for critical manual focus throughout the lens's entire focusing range.

    The Leica M EV1 combines the traditional values of the M-System with the advantages of an integrated electronic viewfinder. Its diopter compensation and practical focus assists facilitate precise manual focusing, particularly when using fast Leica Summilux and Noctilux lenses with very shallow depths of field. The brilliant 5.76-million-dot EVF shows the image as it will be captured, while the camera's 60 MP full-frame BSI CMOS sensor delivers outstanding image quality.
